Zion Wylde was an aging Unification War veteran who worked as a solo in Night City. In 2077, after being hired by the Voodoo Boys for a simple recon gig, he had a religious experience in which he believed he witnessed the Loa, the gods of the Voodoo religion, and was convinced that he could gain entry into their sacred realm by providing sacrifices. It is implied that this experience was the result of the Voodoo Boys hacking him, and the job he was hired to do was only bait. Left with damaged implants, Wylde succumbed to cyberpsychosis and wandered the Badlands to the east of Night City, where he started assassinating members of the Wraiths as tributes for the Loa. The gang took notice of the killings and sent more members to eliminate Wylde, but they were unsuccessful, and rumors of Wylde and his mounting body count eventually reached Regina Jones.
V found Wylde deep in the Badlands, following a trail of Wraith bodies to his hideout, a small trailer camp surrounding a wind farm tower. V can choose to kill or incapacitate him.[1]
