Yaiba (Japanese: 刃) is a Japanese vehicle manufacturer in Cyberpunk.
Overview[]
Yaiba specializes in creating sport vehicles, named after legendary weapons from the Japanese mythology.[2] The corporation caters mainly to a very exclusive clientele, with vehicles like the ARV-Q340 Semimaru and the ASM-R250 Muramasa having limited-releases only.[3][4] Yaiba's sleek motorcycles are especially popular with street-racing biker gangs.[2]
Yaiba's vehicles all support the CrystalCoat technology thanks to a partnership with the British automotive manufacturer Rayfield International.
History[]
Yaiba was founded in 2041 by Daigo Shinohara, in Osaka, Japan.[1]
In the 2060s, Yaiba and the Arasaka Corporation partnered up to create a new motorcycle, and in 2068 Yaiba released the Kusanagi, which has been considered one of the best motorbikes ever built. For a long time it was fastest and the most expensive motorcycle on the market.[5]
At some point, Yaiba released ARV-Q340 Semimaru, an ultra-rare, limited-edition sports car.[3] Similarly, in 2077, the company released ASM-R250 Muramasa, a built-on-demand customizable motorcycle purchasable through an invite-only showroom event organized in collaboration with Kiroshi at their corporate campus in Night City's Charter Hill.[4]
