The World News Service Offices were located in the Corporate Plaza of Night City.
Overview[]
This building was the World News Service regional offices in Night City, stating at 63 stories tall. Similar to the Infocomp Building, the WNS Offices were largely functional and restrained in design. The company did not advertise itself through gaudiness, maintaining a certain amount of pride in its Old-World conservative air. The tower was surfaced in white stone with black windows. A relatively small, white-lit WNS logo was located on the upper left comer of each exterior wall. A windowless section circling the center floors of the building encompassed the recording and video studio floors. There were the usual AV-4 pads and heliports on the roof, and parking and loading areas underground.
There were no public facilities in building, with the exception of a small news-stand and company shop, where the latest news faxes and newsdeck downloads could be purchased with a morning cup of coffee. Employee facilities included screening rooms, a recreational center, cafeteria, studios that could be checked out for personal use, and a medical center.
Access to the building was tightly controlled, and only the lobby and news-shop were open to the general public. There were guided tours of the non-sensitive areas, but they were escorted by security as well as tour guides. All areas were patrolled 24/7.[1]
Notes[]
- In CyberGeneration (Non-Canon), this building is bought and occupied by Militech as their new offices after selling their old ones.[2]
