Woodchipper's Block was a residential neighborhood block in southern Heywood-Santo Domingo, in Night City.

Overview[]

This neighborhood block, located near the outskirts of Heywood-Santo Domingo,[1] housed at least a dozen similar free-standing garages, each with an additional room with a bathroom; and other residential buildings. Woodchipper, a nomad from the Aldecaldos, owned many of the free-standing garages in this area.[2] Every month, Woodchipper used the block's particular cul-de-sac as the place where she set up her own Night Market.[3]

The area of the block used as a Night Market

With a notable network of arms dealings, Woodchipper was able to set her own outdoor Night Market where she lived. She set it up it every month or so, depending on her contacts and the weather. Many people dragged out tables and stalls and put them along the cul-de-sac curb to make the storefronts of the market. The sounds of music and the notable food they sold, which included real street corn and many other nomad delicacies, made this market look like a festival. Only people on the good side of the nomads were invited here, otherwise, if you were able to sponsor the market, Woodchipper would find a booth for you to sell your items.

Woodchipper sold many items, especially weapons and some vehicles, as well as outdoor living essentials and ammunition. The market was also considered a safe place to get chipped, even for Internal Linear Frame surgery. She was not the only nomad selling things, as many of the Aldecaldos also participated. With that many people there, the Aldecaldos sent the Lobos to protect the market.[3]

  • The Aldecaldo Warriors were a roller derby team in the 2040s that usually celebrated their victories in Woodchipper's block.
