Wilky LaGuerre, better known by his pseudonym Slider, is a Voodoo Boys Netrunner in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Appearance[]
Wilky has white eyes due to his blindness.[1] He sits in a chair attached to a machine, which he uses to continue his netrunner work.
He has dark brown locks which fall to his chin. Several scars mark the cyberware on his face. He wears a sleeveless, striped blazer with a bright orange lapel and black fur tufts at the back, paired with matching slacks. On his feet, he wears sandals. He has noticeable long brown nails, which seem to be painted.
A piece of dark metal cyberware is embedded in his chest, surrounded by numerous scars. Orange wiring runs along his arms, connecting to several ports.
Biography[]
Wilky was a prominent netrunner affiliated with the Voodoo Boys, a gang known for its expertise in netrunning. Initially, Wilky served as the right hand to Maman Brigitte, the leader of the Voodoo Boys, however, ideological differences arose between them; while Brigitte was intent on breaching the Blackwall, Wilky preferred to stay away from NetWatch agents.
During one of his high-profile heists, Wilky attracted the attention of FIA agents. They subjected him to a targeted netrunner attack that caused severe damage, which resulted in complete blindness. Following this incident, the FIA coerced him into becoming an informant through intimidation and blackmail. Looking to escape their control, Wilky fled Pacifica and joined his fellow Voodoo Boys in Dogtown. Despite his efforts, the FIA's influence reached him there as well.[1]
Ultimately, Wilky met his demise in 2077 at his hideout in the Eventide Resort & Spa in Dogtown.[2]
Database Entry[]
WILKY "SLIDER" LAGUERRE
A brilliant Voodoo Boy netrunner who was once the right hand of Maman Brigitte before they clashed over ideals. Brigitte dreamed of piercing the Blackwall, which led to constant skirmishes with NetWatch, while Slider preferred to stay away from grand schemes to focus on what he did best - carrying out corporate heists and assassinations via cyberspace. Unfortunately for him, one such heist caught the attention of FIA agents, who irreversibly deprived him of his sight, and then through blackmail and intimidation made him their informant. In an attempt to break free from the agency's chains, he fled Pacifica and joined his brothers in Dogtown, where he took control of an illegal software operation. As it turned out, the FIA's reach extended there as well.
