West Wind Estates was a residential beaverville complex located in Pacifica.
Overview[]
A small beaverville located about two miles from the ocean, West Wind advertised a beachfront view (possible with a telescope). Home to many of the younger corporate techies and engineers, West Wind prided itself on its liberal, enlightened environment, with local art festivals, bookstores and many community events.
There was a dark side to this picture. As originally planned by its Microtech investors in 2006, West Wind was to be a haven of liberalism in a world of right-wing fascists. Once the Gang of Four's reign collapsed, West Wind's progressive leaders became entrenched, and their liberal agenda became dogma. By 2020, the once enlightened community had many of the elements of an Orwellian nightmare: local leaders shunning those of differing political views, "social counselors" acting as thought police, and neighbors informing on each other's "politically incorrect" activities. it was advised to not eat meat, read George Will, or argue about Marxist political theory if you knew what was good for you.[1]
