The Nekomata (Japanese: 猫又) is a Tech Sniper Rifle manufactured by Tsunami in Cyberpunk 2077.

Characteristics

The Nekomata is a sniper rifle with a moderate fire rate and moderate damage. Like most Tech weapons, it can be charged to deal additional damage and penetrate surfaces that may conceal opponents.

The Nekomata can be charged while fired from the hip.

By default, the Nekomata comes attached with an E305 Prospecta Sniper Scope that can be replaced but not removed. Due to the weapon's Tech system, it cannot be equipped with a muzzle.

Hansen Armory

This weapon has a BARGHEST variant modified by Hansen Armory, increasing Armor Penetration by 25%. Furthermore, it has improved handling, and reduced charge time at the cost of 1 magazine capacity.

The Nekomata is a demanding weapon. It requires care, regular service and time to learn how best to use it. But it's worth it. Really, really worth it. This electromag sniper rifle is a technological marvel. The tungsten spike it launches can pierce the thickest armor and walls, and shatter titanium bones. No one is safe from the Nekomata's destructive force, which is why the sale of this rifle is strictly regulated. It's almost impossible for mercenaries outside the employ of a government or major megacorp to get their hands on one... almost.
