Walkthrough[]
Depending on who V helped (and/or romanced) prior, V will have the chance to read their messages and call them after waking up from a 2 year coma.
If V calls Viktor Vektor:
- Viktor Vektor is happy to hear from V, and V shared their diagnosis with the ripper. Vik will say the doctors are wrong, and the merc should pay him a visit.
If V calls Judy Álvarez:
- Judy Álvarez is surprised to hear from V but will admit her relief to know they're alive, also stating she won't be part of their next adventure as she is now living in Pittsburgh and married to a woman named Bianca.
- If V romanced Judy:
- Judy will also apologize to V and ask her not to try and ruin their marriage, effectively ending their relationship.
If V calls Panam Palmer:
- Panam won't answer the call, and V leaves her a phone message. Mitch Anderson sends V a video message during the epilogue saying she doesn't want to talk to them, and that it would be best if V does not try to call her again. If V romanced her, the relationship is ended.
If V calls River Ward:
- River Ward is angry at first, but gives V a chance to explain that they just woke up from two years of coma, after which River apologizes. After suggesting meeting up, River reveals that he sold everything he knew about the NCPD to Trauma Team to earn some money to pay for Randy's rehab, and as a consequence, he is now a wanted man. Ashamed of himself, he's unable to face V in person and ends the call. If romanced, the relationship is ended.
If V calls Kerry Eurodyne:
- Kerry Eurodyne is happy to hear from V but is also busy and constantly interrupted during his call as he's on tour giving a concert at the Crystal Palace, admitting that he doesn't have time for V at the moment. If romanced, he promises to reunite with V once the tour is over in a few months.
Journal Entry[]
- Know what you're thinkin' — all is lost, right? Could be true in some way, I guess. But it's just as true that you get to live on.
- Dunno, somebody out there might be lookin' out for you to come back. Start callin' — friends, acquaintances, associates, even. Then get back to NC. You'll build a new life for yourself, one with new meaning, I know you will. Or you'll find some traces of your old life and purpose.
- And if none of that pans out, set out and see what's beyond the horizon. 'Cause there's always somethin' there, V. Always.
