There Is A Light That Never Goes Out is a side job in Cyberpunk 2077.

If you chose to tag along with Joshua in Sinnerman, it'll run directly into this quest once you reach the El-Ahmars' house. A woman named Zuleikha El-Ahmar greets Joshua and invites you in to talk, where you learn her brother, Ruben, was killed by Joshua. But instead of hating Joshua, Zuleikha began to write to him while he was in prison, forgiving him for what he did as her Christian faith told her to not judge others, and soon Joshua became a Christian himself.

Joshua will then reveal what's going on: Rachel is with a braindance studio that plans to record Joshua getting crucified. Joshua hopes that this will inspire people to convert to Christianity by showing them how Jesus suffered for them. Before more can be said though, Zuleikha's mother Gloria arrives and unlike her daughter, she hasn't forgiven Joshua and demands you both leave. You can choose to dip out of the questline here or continue with Joshua.

If you continue, return to the vehicle and the group will decide to go for a meal, but Rachel would like a word in private with you first. She'll say that she thinks Joshua is nuts, but the fact that he genuinely believes what he says is valuable since it makes for better braindances. Rachel fears that V is jeopardizing this by asking "probing questions" which cause Joshua to doubt himself.

Rachel's worries are in fact valid: throughout this questline, the game tracks how you speak to Joshua. Choosing supportive statements and asking honest questions will increase Joshua's confidence, while criticizing his plan or steering the conversation away from religion will instill doubt in him. The outcome will be seen in the next quest.

Rachel offers you double Joshua's payment to walk away. Johnny appears and objects to this. You can accept the bribe, which ends the questline, or refuse and keep going.

If you refused the bribe, head into the restaurant to talk more with Joshua and Rachel about the braindance and other topics, until Rachel gets fed up and tells you off before storming out. Joshua says goodbye to you before also leaving with Vasquez. Johnny will reappear and have some thought-provoking comments. This concludes the job, and pay is transferred shortly. A few days later, Rachel will call you to start They Won't Go When I Go.

I love these WTF situations. A guy hires you to off some other guy, and then that first guy dies, but then the second guy hires you to go somewhere with him for who the fuck knows what. But hey, it's not like you're short on work. Just don't fuck this one up, OK? I know you wanna know how this all plays out.
