Overview[]
This bar used to be a popular club located in downtown Night City in the 2020s, and it was famous for having its own fighting arena. At some after the Fourth Corporate War, the old place was abandoned and a new one was built on the waterfront of South Night City.
Located on the southside docks, by the 2040s the new Slammer was a popular ganger bar known for its cinder block arena, which was used by boosters from all over the city's various Combat Zones to settle their disputes with heavy firepower and bloody rippers.[1] It was advertised as a no-holds-barred combat ring without murder.[2] The Slammer was also frequented by sea nomads, who considered it the only nearby good place for drinking that wasn't on a boat.[3]
In terms of fighting arenas, the Redline in the Watson Development was considered the best, where gladiatorial fights took place. For brawls and less sophisticated, yet brutal combats, the Slammer was the one to go.[4]
