The Range was a shooting gallery located in the Northside District of Central Night City.
Overview[]
This facility was divided into two parts. The first building was the Range, a large cement structure that looked much like an oversized bunker from the Second World War, with its walls being soundproofed and very thick. This establishment was one of California's most famous indoor shooting galleries, and it was run by Elaric Fail, a solo and vet of the Central American Wars. He offered courses in shooting anything that could be shot; from the new high-tech compound bows to the largest assault rifles. Courses at the Range were very expensive, but well worth the price. It was said that this place was second only to Arasaka in training people to handle combat firearms. Elaric also started a free small arms workshop for the citizens of the district to counter victimization by gangs.
The second building was the Shooting Gallery. Like its neighboring building, it seemed like nothing more than a solid slab of cement. Unlike the the Range building, however, this one lacked doors or windows, and the only way to gain entry was through an underground tunnel that ran between the Range and the Gallery. In this building heavy weapons were stored and classes on their use were held here.[1]
