The Shroomers are a reclaimer group introduced in Cyberpunk RED.
History[]
The Shroomers started out years ago as a group of Night City University students growing hallucinogenic mushrooms, which turned into growing edible mushrooms during the Time of the Red. After their food storehouse was burned down in 2025, the group decided to go underground and form a village in a disconnected NCART track, emerging to trade mushrooms for goods and services.
At the age of 18, Shroomer members are allowed to go on a pilgrimage topside to learn about the outer world, and some choose not to return. This keeps the Shroomers connected to Night City and allows them outside help when needed.[1]
