Seiji Okano was an Arasaka Corporate manager in 2020. Seiji was cunning, smart, and charming, his ambitious attitude made him believe he was destined to be the most powerful man in the world. If not, he also made plans to have an heir after he died, however he never married and had no children.[1]

Early Life[]

Seiji Okano was born to a rich corporate family in Niigata, Japan in 1983. Seiji was always an arrogant gentlemen and believed he was the only person worthy enough to hold the title of absolute best. In school he was the most powerful speaker and drew the most attention with his consistently great test scores. He was also the star in gym class, and did many sports often becoming MVP of his team. During his time in University, a local newspaper named him the most exceptional individual of the Niigata prefecture. This only added more to his ego, and made him determined.[1]

After graduating he moved to Tokyo, the city of great opportunity he called it. His reputation had most companies requesting that he work under them, however Seiji only saw one as an option. The Arasaka Corporation as the largest corporation in the world, he believed there was no other option that if he was to be known as the world's most powerful man, he'd have to work up the ranks of Arasaka.

He later joined the Arasaka Corporation to further out his dream. Calculating, smooth, and ruthless, Seiji was the epitome of the corporation with his own agenda. Over his time at the Arasaka Corporation he had become so ambitious that he would buck his own employer to fulfill his own goals. In his mind all others were just pawns to be used in his crazy game, and saw most people as disposable. He worked tirelessly to make his dream a reality and destroyed anybody who got in his way. His ultimate plot was to make himself the most powerful man in the world (A title that currently Saburo Arasaka held).[1]

Seiji appointed Haruko Kanawa as his chief of security and promised to promote her to a higher position after his military coup of Arasaka was successful. During the Clone debacle with Biotechnica, Okano and Kanawa intended to keep Adriana safe by making a deal with the team she was in contact with while fleeing to Night City. He explained to the group Biotechnica wanted them all dead and if they had reached Night City, they would not survive. Seiji wanted Adriana alive and to accompany Haruka back to the Arasaka facility.

The group later reported to the Arasaka Corporation of Okano's betrayal. After the report, Arasaka raided Okano's offices and discovered enough evidence to convince them that the matter was worth looking into. Kiichi Nagawa the Corporation's feared director of Internal Security made it on the scene to meet with the group and Helen Lane. Together they struck a deal. Lane gave Arasaka the tracer information and promised to leave them out of the big story. In return, the Arasaka troops did their best to save the them as well as Adriana from Biotechnica and Okano. Okano attempted to kill the team who protected Adriana, however was stopped by Arasaka soldiers led by Kiichi. Okano was killed during the assault.
