Search and Destroy is a Main Job in Cyberpunk 2077.
Walkthrough[]
After escaping from Arasaka's clutches at the Redwood Market in Japantown, you are contacted by Goro Takemura. He has brought Hanako Arasaka to his safe house inside an Abandoned Apartment Building on Vine Street in Vista del Rey, Heywood, and tells you to knock four times on the door to safely get inside.
Once you arrive at the safe house, head to apartment 303 on the third floor and knock on the door four times, Takemura will open the and tell you to hurry up inside. Once inside, you talk with Takemura and sit down with Hanako, to whom you will explain the situation around her father's death.
Hanako will not answer to any word you say, and weird sounds are coming from the hallway. Takemura instructs you to check out what is happening. Shortly afterwards, Arasaka forces breach the safe house, leaving you to fight your way outside to safety once more.
Note:
- After Arasaka forces breach the apartment building, it is possible to save Takemura from Arasaka's forces. You can fight your way back up to the third floor, or use the Fortified Ankles/Reinforced Tendons if you have them installed. You and Goro Takemura will then both fight your way outside. If he is not saved, he will not appear during The Devil ending if it is chosen during Nocturne Op55N1, and you won't be able to get The Devil achievement (even if you choose to side with Arasaka at the end).
After escaping the apartment building, you retreat to the Sunset Motel in Red Peaks, the Badlands and speak with Johnny Silverhand. A person arrives and knocks on your room. After letting them in, you find out it is a Proxy for Hanako. She wants to meet with you.

- Know what my downside is? No matter how much I might want to, I don't fucking make mistakes. Lo and behold! Our factory-reset ronin, hounded by every single Arasaka soldier in Night City for KIDNAPPING Saburo Arasaka's daughter. Kudos to him - I couldn't've fucked this plan up better myself. And after all this he STILL wants you to drop by? I don't know who's more whacked - him or us. Just remember to knock four times. His head, preferably - against a fucking table.

Notes[]
- If V either knocks once or three times on the door, Takemura will shoot them. This will immediately result in their death.
- After the safe house is breached, Adam Smasher can be seen retreating back inside the AV, while carrying Hanako Arasaka.
- The tarot card "The High Priestess" can be found on the fourth floor of the apartment building. This tarot card resembles Hanako Arasaka.
- When still at the Redwood Market, one can encounter Gillean Jordan, who is recording a piece for N54 News regarding the attack on the Arasaka dashi parade.
- The game will provide a Tier 1 M2038 Tactician for the cutscene in Sunset Motel, unless the player already has one.
