Screamsheet is type of newspaper.
Background[]
By the 21st century, newspapers, now referred to as "Screamsheets" in street slang, are physical media providers intended to provide news to the masses. Sent out of screamsheet offices, screamsheets themselves are flimsy, slick papers containing the news of the past few hours. Considered much more advantageous to the prior iteration of newspaper, Data Terms in any city can be dialed to print only one or multiple sections a reader wants to read, paying 0.1 Eb for them. Most screamsheets were, and continue to be, updated precisely at 6 AM, and 12, 5, and 10 PM.
In 2013 and 2020, printing relied on faxed computer code translated digitally, typeset by computer, photoscanning, and being sent to newsboxes and Data Terms to be reconstructed physically.[1] By 2045, while the process is largely the same, though the printing now relies on holographic-digital technology, as well as Agent devices being able to download entire screamsheet to be read on-screen or projected holographically.[2]
