Run This Town is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Walkthrough[]
Mr. Hands will call V at some point after finishing Firestarter to meet him in his suite at Heavy Hearts.
Mr. Hands is also very insistent on the importance of this mission. If V has any gigs from him already started when Run This Town is started they can be completed as normal, but if V attempts to start any new gigs within Dogtown Mr. Hands will message V saying that work can wait, and insist that V meet with him. The gig that V tried to start will be locked and cannot progress.
V says they do not want to play politics and tries to leave the room:
- Mr. Hands will lock the door and try to persuade V by doubling their usual rate. V can either accept and continue the quest, or decline and fail the job.
V eventually accepts the job:
- Mr. Hands will provide details. Mr. Hands tells V that there are two Dogtown leader candidates: Chester Bennett and Jago Szabó. Mr. Hands prefers Bennett to be the new leader, and states that Jago is "immature".
- In order to blend in and influence Dogtown politics, Mr. Hands would like V to disguise themselves as a highly respected Cuban cartels mercenary named Aguilar Nubiola (gender depending on V's), whose organization has a close relationship with Dogtown leadership. Mr. Hands will provide V with a behavioral imprint, a replica of Aguilar's gun, and a replica of Aguilar's suit.
Meeting with Jago[]
After the meeting with Mr. Hands, V goes to the meeting site of Jago and Voodoo Boys. V activates the behavioral imprint and waits for the Voodoo Boys. After dealing with the Voodoo Boys, they wait for Jago. When Jago and his bodyguard arrive, they are surprised to see Aguilar. V, disguised as Aguilar, discourages Jago from competing for leadership, and then Jago shares some information.
V allows Jago to explain:
- Jago tells V that Bennett is negotiating with a dummy company backed by Arasaka and talking about collaboration, which will unlock an optional task to meet with Bennett.
Meeting with Bennett (optional)[]
If V has allowed Jago to explain, V can go to the usual meeting site between Bennett and Arasaka. After the behavioral imprint is activated, V has to take out Bennett's bodyguard waiting near the door. Johnny will suggest that V dump the body and wait for Bennett in the car.
When Bennett finishes the meeting and gets back in the car, V turns around and faces Bennett, who is confused and then shocked to see Aguilar. Bennett will try to explain what's going on.
V threatens Bennett to cut ties with Arasaka:
- Bennett will turn hostile and start attacking Aguilar (V). Since V is in Aguilar's disguise, they can only use Aguilar's replicated gun to fight back; V cannot scan or use other weapons, implants or throwables.
- After Bennett is defeated, Jago will be considered the leader.
V convinces Bennett to cut ties with Arasaka and says Jago will support him after the cut:
- Bennett will be convinced and V can peacefully leave. Bennett will be considered the leader.
Hansen's Wake[]
After the meetings, V goes to Black Sapphire for Hansen's wake. V activates Aguilar's disguise, enters the building and heads for the elevator.
At the wake, V meets Jago, who says he has a bad feeling since Bennett has called in extra security.
Chester Bennett[]
For Bennett to be considered the new leader of Dogtown, V will have to either skip the optional meeting or go there but not provoke him.
V did not convince Jago to give up his contacts:
- Bennett becomes the new leader of Dogtown and Jago is killed.
V convinced Jago to give up his contacts and didn't stop Bennett:
- Bennett becomes the new leader of Dogtown and Jago is killed.
(Reflexes 10) - V convinced Jago to give up his contacts and stopped Bennett:
- Jago becomes the new leader of Dogtown and Bennett is killed.
V convinced Bennett to give up on obtaining Jago's contacts:
- After V draws their weapon and says "You would plunge Dogtown into chaos?", Bennett becomes the new leader of Dogtown and Jago survives.
Jago Szabó[]
For Jago to be considered the new leader of Dogtown, V will have to go to the optional meeting with Bennett, prompt him to attack, and say Jago will lead.
V did not convince Bennett to give up on Terra Cognita:
- Bennett becomes the new leader of Dogtown and Jago is killed.
V convinced Bennett to give up on Terra Cognita:
- Jago becomes the new leader of Dogtown and Bennett survives.
V convinced Jago to give Terra Cognita to Bennett:
- Jago becomes the new leader of Dogtown and Bennett survives.
Calling Mr. Hands[]
Mr. Hands will be pleased with V's work if Bennett becomes the new leader and no one is killed. Otherwise, Mr. Hands will be angry and call V "unprofessional".

- Deal with Bennett's driver.
- Hide the driver's body.
- Get in Bennett's car.
- Wait for Bennett.
- If V provokes Bennett: Neutralize Bennett.
- Talk to Bennett.
- Step away and deactivate Aguilar's imprint.
- Call Mr. Hands.
- Go to the Black Sapphire.
- Activate Aguilar's implant and wait for the wake to begin.
- Enter the Black Sapphire.
- Take the elevator up to the wake.
- Attend Hansen's wake.
- Talk to Jago.
- Follow Jago to meet with Bennett.
- Choose the new leader of Dogtown.
- Leave the wake.
- Take the elevator down.
- Deactivate Aguilar's imprint.
- Call Mr. Hands.
