The DB-4 Palica is a Smart Double-Barrel Shotgun manufactured by Rostović in Cyberpunk 2077.

Overview[]

The Palica is based on the DB-4 Igla, except it has been outfitted with a Smart targeting system and a heavily modified barrel. The Palica's Smart capabilities give it an edge over other double-barreled shotguns, by being able to fire 9 smart rockets per barrel at a time, but it is still outclassed by higher-grade weapons by manufacturers like Arasaka and Tsunami Defense Systems.

The Palica comes with an intrinsic modifier that causes rounds to deal increased damage, but at the cost of having a chance to lose their target lock.

A Smart Link cyberware implant is required to fully utilize the weapons Smart capabilities.

Due to its Smart targeting system, it cannot be equipped with a Scope or Muzzle attachment.

ROSTOVIĆ DB-4 PALICA

The minds at Serbia-based Rostović set out to prove that "smart" doesn't have to mean "expensive." The fruit of their endeavor is the Palica, based on their time-tested Igla model. Was the experiment a success? Opinions are divided. The Palica's price is certainly lower than the competition, but so it also has the craftsmanship to match. This shotgun possesses the basic funtionality of a Smart-class shotgun, but it's not worth the breath required to compare it to Arasaka or Tsunami weapons. Still, for those whose wallets are already squeezed, the Palica really is the "smart" choice.[1]
