Renta-Robo Inc. was an international rental vehicle corporation in Cyberpunk.
Overview[]
Renta-Robo was a fully AI-operated corporation found worldwide that specialized in the rental of vehicles. Its stations were commonplace in many cities, and were easily found due to their familiar grey and white color. Each RR outlet had a terminal which renters had to interface with and insert their debit or credit chip. Once the card was verified, an AI controlled vehicle traveled from the central garage to the customer. When the vehicle was ready to be returned, the client only had to press the red button in the car's dashboard. Their account would then be charged based on mileage and other fees, and the onboard AI would drive the vehicle back to the garage. While a bit expensive, Renta-Robo was the choice of many discerning corporates visiting their chosen city.
Rental vehicles included most of the European-made luxury sedans, Japanese imports, and USA-Japanese hybrids. Cars could vary in price depending on the vehicle, with some being 220eb per day, while others just 150eb. Mileage rates were 0.60eb per mile.
In 2020, Renta-Robo, alongside with Honda-Avis, were the only corporate chains servicing the vehicle rental market in Night City.[1][2]
