"Take this sword as a sign of my favor. Once the blade of a great warrior, it lay in the depths for ages, awaiting your arrival."

The Aerondight "Guinevere" is a vehicle manufactured by Rayfield in Cyberpunk 2077.

Overview[]

The Aerondight is a front-engine hypercar which was developed and manufactured by Rayfield in Goodwood, UK. It was named after the legendary sword of Sir Lancelot du Lac.

Before the introduction of the Caliburn, the Aerondight held the record of the fastest street-legal car with a top speed of 320[sic] mph, thanks to its hex-turbocharged V16 12.4 engine. The car has a windowless body design which provides absolute protection and privacy for its occupants. The external view is projected inside the cabin using Rayfield's own CrystalDome technology.

Between the years 2076 and 2077, the new version of the Aerondight — known as the "2077 Guinevere" — was officially released. Initially limited to 150 units around the world, the Guinevere was so expensive that only the wealthiest can afford it.[1][2] Aerondights are built after a customer orders and pays for the car.[3]

RAYFIELD AERONDIGHT "GUINEVERE"

For many, the name Rayfield is synonymous with wealth - and for good reason. The price of the Rayfield Aerondight exceeds the GDP of many island nations. And it's worthing noting this British-made ultra-luxury, ultra-performance masterpiece is worth every enny of it. The pedigree engine under its hood puts this car on equal footing with professional racing vehicles, and the interior feels like a 5-star penthouse suite. But if that's not enough to get you excited, the Aerondight doesn't have a single window. With the help of CrystalDome, the vehicle's surroundings are displayed in real time inside the cabin, ensuring complete driver privacy and a stunning experience.[2]

It can be acquired from the AUTOFIXER netpage for €$155,000.

Known owners[]

According to Kirk Sawyer during V's Streetkid lifepath, only four Aerondight "Guinevere" were known to be in Night City at that time,[4] though it is possible more appeared between the Prologue and Act 1 of Cyberpunk 2077.

Notes[]

  • A Rayfield Aerondight appears on the front of the neokitsch style poster, and in the Bushidō 9: Dressed to Kill cover.
  • Despite the Caliburn being developed at a later time than the Aerondight, the dates seen in the cars point on the contrary. This might be simply an oversight.[6]
  • The car show Guns and Horses states the Aerondight has 1,800 horsepower instead of the 950 shown when scanning the vehicle.
  • The trunk does not open, but the Stash can be accessed.
  • Prior to Patch 1.5 it cost €$ 225,000.
  • Prior to the introduction of AUTOFIXER, Wakako Okada sold the car via a text message: "V! I have a great deal for you - a Rayfield Aerondight "Guinevere"! It belonged to the ambassador of Argentina... that is, until the country returned to martial law and the only thing waiting for him there was a noose, so he sold everything he could and fled the city. He didn't try to bargain with me - the sign of a smart man. I too would be smart if I were you and get your cash ready, because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The world ain't exactly teeming with these beauties. Everyone wants to be unique, stand out, be noticed - I know you do too. The Aerondight can make that happen."
  • Its title as the most expensive purchasable vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077 was taken by the Militech Hellhound in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Trivia[]

  • Aerondight is a sword in The Witcher games, which is also in turn named after Lancelot's sword in Arthurian Legend. This is further reinforced by the second name of the vehicle being "Guinevere", with whom Lancelot had an affair.
    • Kirk's statement of being four the Aerondight's in Night City is probably a reference to the three swords that can be obtained across the three main games of The Witcher, plus the Maugrim, which file's name is "Aerondight."
  • The overall design of the Aerondight seems to be inspired by 2025 Bugatti Aerolithe Concept, originating from the 1935 Bugatti Aerolithe Prototype, additionally inheriting a similar name.
