Princessland! is a former-theme carnival located in the University District of central Night City.
Overview[]
Princessland used to be a travelling carnival themed around an animated show known as the Princesses of Justice. It featured rides and tea parties catering to children, however, the facilities were abandoned while in Night City during the Fourth Corporate War.[1][2][3]
The defunct carnival eventually became the home of a posergang styling themselves after the old cartoon show. The Princesses of Justice repaired the facilities and turned the flowerbeds into gardens where they grew crops, with the other rides being given similar purposes. The Mermaid Princess waterpark was converted into a small but thriving fish farm as an example. The Princesses took good care of the former carnival, as best as they could, turning it one of Night City's guerrilla gardens.
To gain entry into Princessland, visitors were expected to prove their worth for Princesshood, which usually meant favors. The gang's hideout was one of the few functioning shelters for people fleeing domestic abuse, and occasionally they needed someone to teach the violent spouses/partners a lesson. Achieving that gave you access to the facilities. One such case was Velvet Lux, a notorious model who was rescued by the gang and given safehouse in the park. Ever since, Velvet donates 10% of her earnings to them.[2]
