The Prime-Time Players are a gang operating in Night City.
History[]
To survive the harsh Time of the Red, many different local posergangs in Night City banded together to form the Prime-Time Players. Its members used bodysculpting to resemble characters of old sitcoms and TV shows from bygone eras, acting as an extended family gang that protected their neighborhood and longed for a bygone time.
By the 2040s, there were dozens of different Prime-Time Player factions all around Night City, each based on different themes. They were territorial and fiercely protective of their own members. One time, the tensions between the Piranhas and the Prime-Time Players rose to a boiling point, and both gangs had a firefight between them that only lasted one minute. As they soon found out, the only flaw was that both groups used guns that had been 3D-printed by utilizing very unreliable materials, making them explode on the hands of the users. Just mere twenty-four hours later, the creator of these guns, a teen by the name of Zip Print, was found hanging from a lamp post with a bullet hole in his head and "cheap" carved in his chest. Underneath him was a pile of guns from both gangs. Afterwards, the Piranhas and the Players decided on a truce until they obtained new, reliable weapons.[1][2]
