Plaza Business Tower was located in the Corporate Plaza of Night City.

Overview[]

At ninety-six stories tall, Plaza Business Tower was the third tallest building in Night City. Referred to as a corporate suburban mall, the tower housed around 100 and plus businesses, with more than a dozen of food establishments, making it the biggest mix of restaurants in one spot in the whole city.

Around the late 2000s, spiraling downtown land prices forced developers to go vertical, and this building was the result. Built prior to 2013, Plaza Business Tower was glitzy and eye catching, a testament to modern merchandising.[1]

Layout[]

The exterior of the building was made of mirrored glass, polished white marble and stainless steel. There were internal elevators and staircases, but exterior glass elevators also traveled in herds up and down both sides. The entire affair was capped on the top of the walls of each side with huge black letters reading "The Plaza." At night these were backlit in red. Located on the top of the tower was a rotating restaurant, overlooking the numerous heliports and AV-4 pads on other buildings. The rooftop also had its own AV landing pads. The enormous underground parking lot and loading area also served the neighboring West City Tower.

Plaza Business Tower was one giant public facility. It contained hundreds of businesses and outlets, including restaurants, clothing stores, fitness centers, computer stores, high-tech stores, arms merchants, architects, flight schools, out-patient cyberclinics, body-shops, and even a car dealership and a public emergency medical center. If you needed something in Night City, there were high chances you'd find it here. There were a few facilities reserved only for employees of businesses in the tower, and employees of the tower's ownership company itself, but they were by far the exception, not the rule.

Most of the Plaza Tower was open to the public, with all common areas accessible 24/7, though most of the businesses were closed at night. Service areas were secured against unauthorized personnel, and the loading dock and roof landing pads were off-limits without clearance. The businesses in the tower maintained their own security measures, and several of them were quite well protected. There were some areas of the tower that were privately leased and off limits to the public, but these places were well patrolled and secured, and generally not accessible from the common areas without authorization or a key. As a rule, the tower was more exclusive and secure at the upper levels, where the higher end services, businesses and offices were located. There was a security center on the ground floor, and the entire tower was patrolled by contracted security. NCPD officers could also usually be found in the building premises.[1]

Notes[]

  • The offices of Mitifer were located in this building. They also had an art gallery showcasing imported art.[1]
