Planetran Inc.[1] is a corporation in the Cyberpunk series.
Overview[]
The Transcontinental Maglev System was a project from the United States of America government to connect the West Coast with the East. Its construction was supervised by the US Army Corps of Engineers and was mostly built by nomad families. Construction began in 1998 and was finished in 2008. Ownership of the network was transferred to Planetran after the US government sold them the new infrastructure, with the corporation tasked with usage and maintenance of the it.[1][2][3] Planetran built their own maglev trains for this operation.
In the 2020s, most of the network was abandoned during the years following the Fourth Corporate War.[1]
