The Piper Memorial Sports Arena was located in the Little China district of Central Night City.

Overview[]

The Piper Memorial Sports Arena was an indoor sports coliseum with a capacity for 1,400 people. Its major attractions were professional wrestling, boxing matches, gladiatorial sports, and other blood sporting events. Channel 54 had exclusive video rights to cover events for broadcast. The arena proper only occupied the lower floors, while the rest of the building was taken up by assorted offices and business suites.

The building was originally constructed in 1999, and was named after a professional wrestler who, unknowingly, thwarted a terrorist attempt to hijack an airliner and crash it into the White House to assassinate the President of the United States of America. Piper stopped the terrorists, but died of gunshot wounds received during this heroic act.[1]

Notes[]

  • Night City Sourcebook describes the building as having twin towers. This book is also the only media that describes Club Atlantis being located on the top three floors of the Piper Memorial Sports Arena, even though the club, in prior and posterior sources, has always been depicted to be at street level.
