Over the Edge is a side job in Cyberpunk 2077. It was added in Patch 1.6 as part of the Edgerunners Content DLC.
Walkthrough[]
As V approaches Megabuilding H4—in the south of Arroyo, Santo Domingo—they find a green tag next to the entrance and a braindance recording in a nearby trash can. As V puts on the Braindance Wreath and slots in the braindance, they experience the death of cyberpsycho Lt. Col. James Norris and receive a warning about the fate of David Martinez.
After the braindance ends, V finds themselves on the ground. They text Muamar Reyes to inquire about David Martinez. Muamar relates some of David's story, and promises to be in touch when he has found out more about the whereabouts of his companions.
After about 24 in-game hours, V receives a text message from Falco. In it, Falco will explain that he used to run with David, although they have fallen out of the spotlight. Mentioning that V and David have much in common, and that while their 15 minutes of fame may be over, it is not yet too late for V. Falco instructs V to visit Muamar, as he has left behind a gift.
When V arrives at Muamar Reyes's location at the Dam Viewpoint, they find a cache on the balustrade. Approaching the cache reveals that the package left for them was David's Jacket. Looting the jacket will conclude the quest.

Only thread to follow here is the name dropped at the end – David Martinez. Sounds like the headstrong type. I like him already.

- The braindance used to start the quest consists of the opening scene from Let You Down, the first episode of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
