First announced on October 4 2022, Orion serves as a codename for the project as it is being developed.[1]
After the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion, the core team responsible for Cyberpunk 2077 moved to Boston, USA, and established a new hub of the North American CDPR branch. In 2024, the Boston team — with help from the Vancouver and Warsaw crews — are slated to start development on the sequel.[2][3]
