History[]
1990s - 2010[]
The First Central American War took place from 1990 to 1994, the conflict evolved the US invading the nations of Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, and El Salvador. The Panama Canal treaty had expired, and the Canal was reverted back under the control of the Panamanian Government. The US sent military forces to Panama to retake the Canal, citing national defense issues. A guerilla war began over the Honduran and Nicaraguan borders. A full scale war began as the US sent large units equipped with heavy machinery into combat, where they unsuccessfully tried to chase down guerrilla units. The conflict was Inconclusive; the US forces withdrew from Central America save for the Panama Canal Zone.
The Second Central American War took place on January 15th, 2003 and lasted till 2010. The US invaded Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. The War was a complete disaster which costed thousands of American lives. The war turned into a struggle for domination of the rest of the hemisphere, with the US pouring almost all of its military force into it, and the European corporations providing aid, training, equipment and money to the indigenous armies resisting the invasion. During this refugees from South America began pouring into Japan, the refugees were originally of Japanese decent who returned to their families original homeland after the devastations of the Central American wars. The US eventually gave up and the war ended.
2020s[]
After a series of wars with the United States, the Central American nations, under a pact of mutual cooperation, emerged as a strong coalition. US influence was driven out of Central America, other than the Panama Canal Zone, which had managed to continue holding out against fierce guerrilla aggression.
In South America, Brazil, Argentina and Chile became the de facto rulers of the OSA, after expelling the US following the Central American Wars. The OAS continued to hold its place as a major world power, on the same level as the European Economic Community.[1]
Aftermath of the 4th Corporate War[]
In the time of the 4th Corporate War, nationalist groups in Brazil and Colombia used the opportunities given to them to further expand their borders and influence, resulting in the splitting of the previous alliance that was just beginning to be rebuilt. However, the O.A.S rallied soon after, and with the help of Argentina and a new democratic Brazil, they begun rebuilding their cities and established new trade relations, especially with the highriders and the nomads.[1]
