Words - we think we know how to use them, but then there is context...
— Nina Kraviz, Cyberpunk 2077
Nina Kraviz is a Ripperdoc operating in the Westbrook's luxury residential part of Charter Hill. She currently works in her uncle's clinic.
Biography[]
Nina is an experienced, if not globally-acclaimed Ripperdoc who, in her own words, moves around in the business. Prior to arriving to Night City, she ran shops in Irkutsk, Leningrad, Vienna and Glasgow. Further dialogue reveals that she simply gets bored staying in one place and moves on, which also feeds into her great love of travel. Her uncle was the one to rent her the existing shop in Westbrook for her thirtieth birthday, and she plans on running it up until getting bored.
She is, so far, very fond of the Night City culture, describing it as very different from the USSR. The manner of executing aggression in the street and inevitable need of medical help after every encounter makes it very interesting for Nina.
When first entering the Medical Assistance shop, V may notice that the face in charge has changed, unkindly describing the previous Ripperdoc as having oozing flesh and being rather unpleasant to look at. As it turns out, this "slimy gonk" is in fact Nina's uncle, who she does not deny looking off, although it works in his advantage, being something that is not easy to forget. She will defend her uncle's lack of diplomatic habit as well - being rude towards V in the situation in which they were in when arriving was nothing more than speaking the truth, which is, by all means, hurtful or not, an admirable trait.[1]
Trivia[]
- Nina is a virtual cameo of musical artist and producer Nina Kraviz, who has not only lent her voice for the character but also her talent for a number of tracks being played on the Samizdat Radio and notably within the clubs of Night City, under the name of cyberpunk music legend Bara Nova.
- Ripperdoc's model has been created by Hossein Diba, directly borrowing features from Nina.
