Night City Towing and Storage was located in the Corporate Center district of Central Night City.
Overview[]
These buildings housed the offices of the public towing facility for Night City. Any towed cars were placed in the large parking structure on the southern portion of the block.
The NCPD took parking infractions seriously, and any improperly parked vehicles were subjected to a tow away. Improper parking fines ranged from 100-200eb, plus 200-300eb for towing fees. There were no storage fees, and the towed vehicles were kept by the Night City Towing Company for a 24h period, after which the city laws permitted the towing company to strip, sell or dismantle any impounded vehicles. These were usually hauled off to a wrecking yard in South Night City, where they were sold as scrap. On the other hand, the nicer vehicles were held and sold at an auto auction once every six months.
Security in this facility was very tight due to people not enjoying paying the outrageous fines, and bullets were cheaper. Because of this, it was advised to not interfere in any legitimate impounding, as tow units were well armed and authorized to employ deadly force.[1]
