The Night City Municipal Landfill is located on the outskirts of Santo Domingo, in the eastern Badlands of Night City.
Overview[]
During the 2040s, much of this area was a sizable reservoir that provided clean water for Night City. After the water dried up, it became a dumpsite that would become filled with the city's trash.[1][2]
By the 2070s, this gigantic junkyard was the official disposal area of Night City, as such it was considered government property, including all the trash scattered there. It was prohibited by law to build dwellings within its premises or take anything from it, thus anyone that did that was considered a thief and punished with substantial fines. The landfill, filled with literal hills of garbage, poured into the deeper Coronado Dam basin to the southwest, and partially to Santo Domingo itself.[3]
Despite the laws protecting the landfill, Wraiths were an common sight.
