For other uses, see NCPD Precinct (disambiguation).The Municipal Criminal Justice Complex (MuCJuC) was a justice court and NCPD facility located in the Medical Center district of Central Night City. It also housed the NCPD Precinct #1, also known as City Police Precinct #1.
History[]
Ever since the founding of Night City, most of the criminal cases were handled out in the Municipal Criminal Justice Complex, which acted as both a courthouse and the headquarters of the NCPD. Towering over most of the city's buildings, the dark blue mirrored glass of this corporate-funded monolith perfectly complemented the cold, clean look PR officials desired for the local judicial system, which was considered one of the most efficient examples of the modern justice system at work. The tower held the city arrangement courts, the Commissioner's office on the top floor, as well as the First Division of the NCPD on the lower floors. Regular visitors, mostly workers and inmates, called this building 'The Muckjuck' (from the acronym MuCJuC), although this did not belittle its impressiveness in anyone's eyes.
During the early 2010s, city officials realized there was not enough room in the MuCJuC to handle the ever increasing number of NCPD operations that came out from the Combat Zone, nor the installations were capable of holding a two-ton rampaging cyberpsycho. As such, the city decided to build the new Night City Police Headquarters to be capable of all this, which was inaugurated in 2018.
By 2020, the Municipal Criminal Justice Complex still served as the center of the judicial system of Night City, and kept housing many NCPD operations, though most had been moved to the new HQ. Despite this, MAX-TAC was still based in this building.[1]

The basement of the MuCJuC housed a large vehicle parking lot, as well as other maintenance areas required by a police force. In the lower floors you could find a small commissary housing the First Division of the NCPD, the city arraignment courts, low and high security jail cells, and braindance rehabilitation areas. The middle floors had a police academy, a shooting range, an armory, and simulators for the officers. The upper floors were mostly made up of administrative offices and file rooms, as well as the old Commissioner's office. The rooftop housed a microwave antennae bubble, as well as AV landing pads.[1]
