If you have to live in a workshack, make it a Mitsubishi

 — Deep Space

Mitsubishi/Koridansu is a manufacturing company in Cyberpunk 2020. They maintain the intellectual property rights to the basic work-shack module expanded upon by virtually all Japanese corporations developing and manufacturing orbital work-shacks and auto-factories. They're the largest manufactures in the solar system and often get contracts to design original products. The products are famous for being reliable.[1]

In 2003, they merged with Sugo Manufacturing to form Mitsubishi-Sugo.[2]

Headquarters & Facilities[]

The Mitsubishi Torus is a privately owned micro-habitat containing approximately 500 occupants situated at L-5.

Groundside Installations[]

Mitsubishi/Koridansu has two major groundside installations back on Earth. The first one was established in Tokyo, Japan after the investors initially invested in the company. Two years after the Tokyo installation was completed, a Hong Kong installation started construction that would double the amount resources that could be sent up.

Orbital Facilities[]

There are four autofactories and eight manned workshacks around the Solar System.

History[]

At the turn of the century space exploration itch had finally been scratched with various allied nations going into space and establishing colonies in the solar system. Not many corporations however had the itch to go up and expand, but rather expand on Earth. Sometime in the mid 2000s tons of Japanese corporates invested in a company that would focus on the construction of orbital stations and colony construction. The man in charge of all the expansion of Mitsubishi is Jun Kobayashi, who lives in the Mitsubishi Torus Headquarters.
