Midwest Combined Operational Group is a military organization, which brings together units from different services to patrol the nation and defend it from external and internal threats.
Overview[]
When former Secretary of Defense Jonathan Seward declared martial law on August 17, 1996 and suspended the US Constitution, Combined Operational Groups were deployed to maintain order throughout the country.
In the Midwest sector, COGs units are larger, so they can split off smaller forces to cover the vast a mounts of territory in the control districts. Midwest COG, based in Missouri and Illinois, has to cover Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. As any other COG, Midwest COG is made up of three elements: one force with heavy armor or firepower, one larger infantry force, and an air wing.
Midwest COG has its headquarters at Fort Leonard Wood, located in the Missouri Ozarks.[1]
