Erebus is an Power Submachine Gun designed by Midnight Arms in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Characteristics[]
The Erebus is a prototype weapon designed by Midnight Arms. It has a magazine size of 50 rounds, and a basic iron sight with red lights. Each of the Erebus's rounds splits off into 6 projectiles.
It also has a very ominous eye to the left of the iron sight that appears to be watching the user. This eye's appearance is very similar to the Project Cynosure core. The eye houses a Rogue AI from the Blackwall that periodically speaks to the user.
The Erebus has an iconic modifier that increases damage by 20%, but also increases weapon spread by 20%.
Erebus has a special ability that has a guaranteed chance to upload the Blackwall Gateway quickhack to normal enemies below 33% Health, instantly neutralizing them. It also has a 5% chance to upload the Cyberware Malfunction quickhack at any Health percentage (this is reduced to 1% against Bosses).
Database Entry[]
EREBUS
A prototype weapon built from secret schematics and stamped with the logo of Project Cynosure. Its mere existence is an affront to international humanitarian law, though the engineers responsible for bringing Erebus to life already had worse things weighing on their conscience. The fruits of their labor resulted in a weapon that uses artificial intelligence to hack the combat cyberware of the targets it shoots. The marriage of its tremendous firepower and its ability to fire a large number of projectiles means Erebus can wipe out an entire battalion entirely on its own. What's more, the modified frame makes handling this weapon terrifyingly simple – as if harnessing the power of AI to take down injured enemies wasn't enough already. Don't let NetWatch catch you with your finger on its trigger.
Acquisition[]
- Somewhat Damaged - Crafting Spec can be found in the Cynosure Facility's maintenance room in Engineering quarters of Sector 2.
- The behavioral system component looted from the Militech Cerberus is needed to unlock This Corrosion.
- The deciphered Cerberus' decoded behavioral system component is required to craft the weapon, which can be obtained during This Corrosion.
