I took it to personal its a subject close to home, and I shouldn't have called you ignorant. I read your response before it was deleted and you're a sound minded guy. I respect your opinion and you even said you understood what I meant, and you are aware on the situation. I understand now you were talking about your home and how it isn't the US's job to defend the world and I get it, that's a valid point. I grew up in Thailand so I just misunderstood and took it the wrong way. Out of respect for the Admin, she said that we should stay more on topic so I won't press this further. I just wanted to apologize for judging you too quick.
Before I discuss the topic at hand allow me to say you are not in trouble and you have done nothing wrong. Sharing your opinions is always in your right, and should not be censored and will not be censored. We appreciate all the work you've put into the wiki and will always welcome you to continue your work. That being said we suggest in the future to stay a little more topic of the Cyberpunk series and maybe avoid real world politics as much as possible. While comparisons to the real world are perfectly fine, an argument shouldn't be on the real world; this wiki is still Cyberpunk. And some topics can be a sensitive subject for others. So in the end I hope we can see more of your edits in the future and you certainly have a lot of knowledge on RPGs no one can deny that, we just hope to not stray off topic too much. If you have any questions for me please never hesitate to ask. (*＾ω＾)人(＾ω＾*)
Regarding the reference, all the pages should have a reference section. When it comes to pages i worked on or created, the ones that are finished have a reference section, there are still plenty of pages without reference sections which are usually characters. Now there's nothing wrong with them not have a reference section since they already fall under categories that show where their from, but you should generally put in a reference section; like for characters which series they're from or books they appear in. Weapons should have a reference and page number.
I'll admit I have not been constant with the reference section in the past, but I've gone back and put it in for the larger pages.
Hi Esparza3368, just wanted to stop by and say thanks for your edits to the Triads page you have made in the past few weeks. They are some really good edits adding much needed info.
Just wanted to to mention about some of the info you have added plus the images. We only allow official images from the Cyberpunk sourcebooks, i noticed the green dragon is a very high quality image and is in color, so i can only assume it is not from the books. Could i ask you to please remove it, as we want only Cyberpunk images and not "real world" images. We are fortunate enough to have been given permission by RTG to use official images (though only if properly credited), so please feel free to use any image from the books that may better represent the triads as a whole.
The other small issue is you have added a lot of real-world information not found in the books. While we do really appreciate the work, again we are only talking about Cyberpunk. I Noticed you have labled real-world triads such as the 14k, forgive me if i am mistaken, but i am unaware of them being mentioned in the book. Could you please go back and revise the page so we dont include real-world. A Small description is ok, but try and only use the info included in the books.
Actually in the Pacific Rim Sourcebook it mentions the Sun Yee On, 14K, and Ghost Shadows (all of them real Triads and gangs). See pages 65-66 of the sourcebook (last paragraph of 65 and first paragraph of 66), in which they throw in a few real ones along with a few fictional Triads. In addition the Sun Yee On and its brief war with Araska is also mentioend in one of the chapters of Solo of Fortune sourcebook. I'll go ahead and remove the dragon image.
Thanks for the reply Esparza, and my apologies, i didnt realize they had put the real-world triads in. Thank you for letting me know and yeah dont worry about removing those real-world examples then. Thanks for adhearing to the image policy though, as nice as it is, its not really relevent to Cyberpunk.
