Meridian Square was a shopping mall located in the City Center district of Central Night City.
Overview[]
The north side of this block was dominated by Meridian Square, an old indoor shopping mall. The eastern section contained a parking lot with ramps leading to an underground garage. Streetkids often went here to rollerblade down the ramps and across the smooth, empty lot.
By 2020, Meridian Square had been having rough times since 2011, when the New Harbor Mallplex was finally opened. Ever since, there was a gradual increase in the number of vacant stores, despite repeated redecoration and other incentives. In fact, the only thing that was keeping Meridian Square afloat was the fact that they housed a large number of local specialty companies, who couldn't afford the New Harbor Mallplexes' rent, yet offered hard-to-find, unusual, handmade or imported merchandise. This place got real busy during Christmas and the tourist season, and had multiple fast food establishments.[1]
