This article is about the MaiMai P126. For other variants, see Makigai MaiMai.

Manufacturer warning: do not accelerate the car beyond 60mph when flanked by winds of more than 20mph.

 — MaiMai P126, Cyberpunk 2077

The MaiMai P126 is a vehicle manufactured by Makigai in Cyberpunk 2077.

Overview[]

This variant of the base model has an improved horse power and maximum speed for longer travels. The most visible differences with both models are the lack of a frontal iron bumper in the P126 and a different tailgate.[1]

Database Entry[]

Makigai MaiMai P126

MAKIGAI MAIMAI P126

The perfect car for anyone on a tight budget. The Makigai MaiMai is the cheapest mass-produced car available in Night City. All design decisions were made with one goal in mind: cut costs! Size? As small as possible while still fitting two (slender) people and (at most) one shopping bag. Engine? Probably stolen from a lawn mower. Materials? Plastic as durable as a disposable fork. Safety test ratings? Scraping by to keep street-legal status. All tied together into an easily affordable package. And they say corporations don't look out for consumers' best interests anymore...[1]

Acquisition[]

It can be acquired from the AUTOFIXER netpage for €$22,000.

Notes[]

  • When entering and exiting the vehicle, a female robotic voice will greet and say goodbye to the driver in Japanese.
  • Its databese entry image uses a Makigai MaiMai E126.
  • It is described in the game files as a GT.
  • Prior to Patch 1.5 it cost €$14,000.
  • Prior to Patch 2.0 it was possible to rarely encounter them driven by NPCs around Night City.
  • Prior to the introduction of AUTOFIXER, Wakako Okada sold the car via a text message: "Hello, V. I have a Makigai MaiMai for sale. Aside from sounding like a fruity cocktail, it is a little small - but you, your guns and your groceries will fit right in. What more do you need?"

Trivia[]

  • The P126 number is a reference to Fiat 126p, once a popular car in Poland that shares a lot of resemblances.
