Disambig This article is about the location in Cyberpunk RED. For the location in 2020, see Little Europe (2020).

Little Europe was a rebuilding urban district located in central Night City. It would eventually become part of the City Center district.

History[]

2020s - 2030s[]

Prior to the Fourth Corporate War, Little Europe was a district located in the northwestern area of central Night City, consisting of the Little Italy and Northside Districts, though this new one would also incorporate major portions of neighboring West Hill as well. These areas were originally inspired by old European and American architecture, taking elements from Italian cities and other North American metropolises such as Boston, Seattle or New York City. After the war, during the rebuilding period of Night City, there was an intention to remodel this trait to be accentuated along the lines of modern Western European architecture.

Over the following years, Little Europe became a booming district in development and a major center of population, being considered a new downtown area of central Night City after the loss of much the City & Corporate Districts.[1]

2040s - 2050s[]

By the 2040s, Little Europe was made up of tightly knit neighborhoods composed of old brick buildings and tall skyscrapers. However, the necessity and budget concerns were beginning to outweigh the original planning, and the European style was starting to be replaced by more conventional architecture. There were ongoing development projects which included megabuildings to house the displaced population and plans to rebuild the NCART lines above ground and extend them to cover all the districts in the city.[1][2]

By 2045, a high-security NCART monorail had already been built to form a loop between the Executive Zone, Little Europe and the Watson Development.[1]

Over time, this area would become a mesh of entropic and neomilitaristic style buildings known simply as Downtown.[2]
