The Laguna Bend Church was located in the small town of Laguna Bend, in the southeastern Badlands of Night City.
History[]
During the early 2060s, this church was a landmark of Laguna Bend and one of the oldest buildings in the town. The tower bells were cracked, and sometimes gave off an eerie, atonal clang. Local kid resident Judy Álvarez thought the building looked ancient and as if it had landed from outer space. One time she snuck in while no one else was there to explore it, eventually standing at the altar and checking the acoustics by screaming, though Judy's returning echo scared her off the building.
In 2062, the residents of Laguna Bend gathered in front of the church to protest against the creation of a reservoir that would flood their township, though they were not able to change its fate. The building eventually closed its front doors never to be opened again. While submerged, a neighboring water tower fell into the church, destroying part of the wall and rooftop.
By 2077, the old structure was still standing beneath the reservoir waters. It was visited by V and Judy while exploring the submerged ruins.[1]
Notes[]
- In Cyberpunk 2077 it is possible to obtain the Heart of Laguna Bend, a miscellaneous item found near the church entrance stairs during Pyramid Song.
