Kitty Liquor was located in the Upper Eastside district of Central Night City.

Overview[]

Upper Eastside was considered a safe district due to its proximity to City Center. Slowly, a number of businesses moved in to take advantage of its central location, luring in the boostergangs around Night City. Kitty Liquor was one of these places.

When the Metalstrom opened in 2010, Mark MacGerald saw a fabulous opportunity for money making and purchased the fabric store next door. After a short period of greasing the right palms, he ended up with a liquor distribution licence and opened his discount warehouse, which immediately became popular with those patrons of Metalstrom who didn't want to pay six eurobucks for a Smash. Not wishing the wrath of a rich corp, he managed to convince the owner of Metalstrom to allow him to supply their liquor needs as well (with a radical discount) so no one lost money in the process.

MacGerald openly sold liquor in defiance of local laws, selling at all times of the day and to minors. The constant crowed of liquor-emboldened gangs made the City Council reluctant to order his arrest. Riots had been threatened if Kitty Liquor ever got closed, and the council didn't want to see Upper Eastside go up in smoke.

The D.J.'s gang rented the Kitty Liquor's basement as their living digs, trading minor street muscle for living space.[1]
