Cyberpunk 2020
As either a trap or in melee. It can be strung at neck level to clothesline targets or ankle level to trip them. It is available in varying lengths, capped at both ends with synthetic bulbs for safe handling.[1][2]
Cyberpunk 2077
The Monowire charges when equipped but not used in combat. Attacks with a charged wire deal bonus damage based on the charge level. Charge level and bonus damage dealt decline with each attack.
Gameplay
This arms modification relies on a unique battery-reliant mechanic which distinguishes the severity of its attacks. Depending on the level of charge, the damage dealt will change, that too, in a directly proportional manner. Each attack executed however, will consume a portion of the charge, emptying the battery for about a fifth per light attack and up to a full charge for heavy attacks. To recharge the battery, the Monowire needs to stay equipped, although not being used.
Uninterrupted light attacks are capable of building a combo up to 5, while holding the attack button charges for a strong attack. The Monowire is capable of blocking as well, although using a fast attack during blocking will execute a regular light hit.
The monowire gains +3 damage for every level of Cool.
Aquisition
This type of cyberware is available for purchase at any ripperdoc. Those who do not sell it in Rare quality, do so in Epic or Legendary. Monowire mods can infrequently be acquired by defeating human enemies.
A Legendary Monowire can be found in the locked garage under the Charter Street overpass, Watson District - in the same building where the Gig: Shark in the Water takes place.
