This Tent City was located on the northern edges of the Hot Zone, in central Night City.
Overview[]
During the Time of the Red there was a large maze of tent cities and crowded alleyways located at the northeastern fringes of the wrecked Hot Zone. Surrounded the Rebuilding Urban Center of Night City, this area was full of homeless and scavengers who were desperate enough to escape the worst of the Hot Zone, but too poor to go much further than the edge of the ruins. These people were the destitute and downtrodden of Night City, living clustered among abandoned storefronts in a slum that screeched for miles around the border of the neighboring districts, ever expanding outward. Some were willing to gamble their last eurobucks and scarps of food on games of chance, while others did their best to go unnoticed in order to not attract the attention of dangerous scavs and other predators like the city gangs.
Reckoners were a common sight in these slums, either trying to recruit new members of simply talking about the coming of the Harvest of Souls. The tent city residents listed to them, be it for their own amusement or to hear their message, and even when the Reckoners beat someone up for not joining, the locals did nothing.[1]
