History[]
During the rebuilding period of Night City, around a decade after the Fourth Corporate War, the City Council struck a deal with the corporations to aid and fund the city's reconstruction. That project included the Glen, which was planned as the new seat of power for the central government. Here, the new Court of Justice was to be erected, after the old building had been abandoned following the 2023 Night City Holocaust.
The new edifice was opened to the public on the same day as the neighboring City Hall, becoming the courthouse of Night City. The building had an imposing brutalist-style architecture, with oversized towers and black steel doors complete with portcullis, all designed to intimidate. Due to the shortage of prison facilities in the city, many were sent to a section of the Hall of Justice that had been constructed to function as a jail.[1]
