Journal Entry

This is all I know – some guy named Karl Ginsky started with a merlot in City Center and ended with jello shots at a dive in Santo Domingo. Classic case. Everyone's gotta get fucked up time to time, know what I'm saying? As long as you do it smart. Problem is, Karl's brain had more than a 0.23 BAC – it also had a shard. And on that shard lies corporate data. The top-secret kind. The kind you don't talk about.

So, a rusted-gut plastered suit stumbling through Santo Domingo with some platinum-plated shard – what could go wrong? They jumped on him so fast that the only thing he saw were 6th Street patches. If it weren't for the deus ex machina that is Trauma Team, he'd probably be missing more than just his shard.

Head over to where those 6ers are holed up and recover Ginsky's property. If the Kang Tao top brass finds out, even Trauma Team won't be able to save him.

Objectives

• Enter the 6th Street warehouse.
• Find the shard stolen from Karl Ginsky.
• Take the shard stolen from Karl Ginsky.
• Leave the 6th Street warehouse.
• Call Karl Ginsky to schedule a meet.
• Meet Karl Ginsky.
• Talk to Karl Ginsky.
• Watch the confrontation or protect Karl.

If V shot the Kang Tao agents before they could kill Ginsky:

• Defeat the Kang Tao operatives.
• Talk to Karl Ginsky.

If V let the Kang Tao agents kill Ginsky:

• Talk to the Kang Tao Agents to clear up the situation.

Notes

• This gig was added in Hotfix 1.11, but was finalized with Patch 1.6.
• Kang Tao agents will not engage V in combat unless V initiates it first.
• If V tells Kang Tao off instead of asking about the data, the Kang Tao agent will not drop a Credit chip.
• V can tell Kang Tao off after they drop the Credit chip without any conflict.
• If V takes the credit chip from the Kang Tao agents, Johnny Silverhand will appear sitting on the roof of the closest shack from where Kang Tao parked and make a disappointed remark.
• Karl Ginsky drops a Credit chip for V for saving him.
• Rogue will react more positively if Karl Ginsky is saved, telling V it was close but still a success.
• Completing this gig is not required to unlock the achievement The Jungle.
