Guinea Pigs is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077.
Walkthrough[]
V must navigate the Biotechnica Hotel, which is divided into three accessible floors (lobby, floor 19, and the roof) that are swarming with Biotechnica security guards and robots, to eliminate Joanne Koch. She is wanted by the Red Ocher, a nomad clan that lost 70 members to the effects of a virus test run for Koch's pet project, codenamed Nightingale. Koch can be killed on the spot, or incapacitated and airlifted out of the building for Red Ochre to deal with personally.
First, V must reach Koch's apartment. The lobby of the hotel is patrolled by several guards and monitored by surveillance cameras and a turret. All of this can be bypassed by entering through an unlocked side door around the side the building with the police cordon, which leads into a small staff office with a single worker inside. A computer in the room can be used to view or disable the lobby cameras. Bypass or eliminate the worker, then head out the office door and turn right to find the elevator. Alternatively, the other side of the building has a door that can be opened with sufficient Technical Ability.
The 19th floor is covered by more guards, dormant robots, and cameras. One guard patrols the atrium outside the elevator, and others are inside a security office at the end of the corridor opposite the elevator. At the intersection, head left to a cluster of apartment entrances and an access door to the roof that is covered by a single camera. Sufficient Technical Ability can unlock the door to Koch's apartment, otherwise take the door to the roof to find an alternate way in.
The roof is monitored by two surveillance cameras and four guards. Two of the guards are constantly moving around a skylight with an open window that leads into the apartment. Bypass or deal with them, then jump down through the open window to find Joanne Koch absorbed in a braindance.
V can either kill Koch and leave the way they came, or knock her out for the Red Ochre survivors. Koch can also be woken up and spoken to, which causes her to plead for the chance to upload her Nightingale project data for her colleagues to use. She reasons that the deaths of the Red Ochre members would be in vain if the test data obtained from Nightingale never sees the light of day. If V allows her to upload the data, she will move to a computer, but proceed to call for security. If V refuses her, she will run away and also call for security.
If V intends to deliver Koch to Red Ochre alive and incapacitates her, Dino Dinovic will notify them that an AV, specifically a Zetatech Canopy, is on the way to the roof. If V has not already eliminated the four guards on the roof, they will be prompted to do so at this time to allow the AV to safely land. Take Koch to the roof by exiting her apartment and using the adjacent roof access staircase, wait for the AV, then deposit her body inside it. Lastly, return to the 19th floor, take the elevator back down, and leave the hotel to complete the gig.
Journal Entry[]
- Chick's name is Joanne Koch, regional director for tech and development or some shit at Biotechnica. Means she tests all the shiny new gizmos. Last little gizmo she tested? Yeah, that one flatlined over 70 souls - folks from a clan called Red Orchid or Red Ocher or something like that. Koch tried to dry the tears of victims' families with a few ennies (ever try that? doesn't work) and decided to close the book on it. Sure enough, book didn't close all the way - all them families pooled together to hire someone who'd give this Director Koch the cordial greeting she deserves. you know the kind - SUPER CORDIAL, to show her they REALLY CARE.
- I'll flick you the coords and the access code to the corpo hotel Koch is holed up in. Shoot me a word after the smoke's cleared.
