Skills are passive upgrades which are divided into five sub-categories, each providing benefits to their associated attribute.
Skills can be leveled through performing actions related to their attributes, or through using Progression Shards.
Associated with the Cool Attribute. Gain experience by:
- Neutralizing enemies with Pistols, Revolvers, Sniper Rifles, and throwable weapons.
- Attacking enemies while undetected.
- Performing Takedowns.

- Neutralizing enemies with Smart weapons and Monowire cyberware.
- Quickhacking enemies, devices and vehicles.
- Uploading daemons to Access Points.
- Crafting quickhacks.

- Performing certain movements (Dashing, dodging, vaulting, climbing).

- Neutralizing enemies with Tech weapons, grenades, the Projectile Launch System, and Bolt shots.
- Neutralizing enemies while certain cyberware and Perk abilities are active (Sandevistan, Berserk, Optical Camo, Overclock mode, Fury mode).
- Crafting, upgrading and disassembling items.
- Performing Technical Ability Attribute checks.
