Quickhacks can be installed inside a cyberdeck and can be utilized to take out or disorient enemies, and bypass defenses.
Each quickhack has a duration (the time the quickhack will be active), an upload time (the time it takes for the quickhack to take effect) and a RAM cost (the amount of cyberdeck ram is required to infect the target with a quickhack). Not all quickhacks have a cooldown (the time it takes before the quickhack can be used again).
Types[]
Combat[]
Combat quickhacks are quickhacks that deal damage to enemies, often leaving a status-effect on them. These quickhacks have a medium RAM cost.
Control[]
Control quickhacks can apply various debuffs to enemies. These quickhacks have a low/medium RAM cost.
Covert[]
Covert quickhacks allow you to sneak past danger without drawing attention to yourself, and allow you to strategically place enemies and discover objects in the vicinity. These quickhacks typically do not start trace progress, which allows you to stay undetected in most situations. These quickhacks have the lowest RAM cost in most cases.
Ultimate[]
Ultimate quickhacks are very lethal and very gruesome. They have the highest RAM cost of all quickhacks.
Device[]
These quickhacks come preinstalled on cyberdecks, determined by their manufacturer and tier. They are often used on objects and item during enemy encounters with the exception of Breach Protocol.
Vehicle []
The Carhacker perk allows you to perform new quickhacks on vehicles, determined by your cyberdeck, their manufacturer and tier.
Quickhacks can also be obtained by successfully sequencing the Advanced Datamine in the Breach Protocol mini-game, and their Crafting Recipes can also be obtained by successfully sequencing the Expert Datamine.
Increases the duration of all Control quickhacks affecting the target by 3 seconds when hit by Short Circuit.
Tier 3: +10% damage for each stack of Cyberware Malfunction affecting the enemy. This increased damage also causes the affected enemy's weakspot to explode.
Tier 4: Applies an EMP effect that deals additional damage over time.
Tier 5: +20% damage against enemies below a High threat level.
Iconic: +15% damage bonus to this quickhack's Tier 3 effect.
Infects the enemy with a virus that causes toxic cyberware substances to leak. This deals poison damage over time and can spread to 2 enemies within 8m. Effective against closely grouped enemies. Ineffective against mechs, robots, drones and turrets. Stacks 2 times.
Tier 3: Can spread to 4 enemies. Duration increased by 1 sec.
Tier 4: Applying a Burn or Overheat effect against an affected enemy will cause the leaked toxic substance to detonate. The explosion removes Contagion's effect. Duration increased by 1 sec. Upload time reduced by 1 sec.
Tier 5: +15% damage with this quickhack against each subsequent enemy it spreads to.
Deals heavy damage. Damage increases by 10% for each RAM unit currently spent (max. +300%).
Tier 4: −2 RAM cost for 15 sec. after neutralizing an enemy with this quickhack. Stacks 3 times.
Tier 5: When Overclock is active, the damage bonus for Synapse Burnout (based on spent RAM) increases by 100%. Neutralizing an enemy with this quickhack extends Overclock's duration by 3 sec.
This quickhack spreads to 3 enemies within 20 m., causing lethal damage to cyberware and neural systems. Mechs, robots, drones and turrets are deactivated.
Automatically consumes RAM every time it spreads. Each spread has a shorter upload time and a higher RAM cost than the last. But the cost can be cut in half if you're willing to pay in blood...
