Attachments and Modifications are pieces of equipment that allow you to enhance weaponry in Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Overview[]

Attachments can be equipped and unequipped on ranged weaponry only and consist of two slot types; Scope and Muzzle.

The Scope slot allows the attachment of scopes to reduce ADS time and increase projectile range, with some scopes adding other additional beneficial stats.

The Muzzle slot allows for the attachment of Silencers that that negate audible detection by enemies while firing (along with adding bonuses in the form of stealth damage multiplier and usually Crit Chance percentage) or Muzzle Brakes that add stats beneficial for Power Weapons.

Modifications are technological enhancements that add or increase specific stats or add a special non-Iconic effect.

Installation[]

Attachments can be installed and removed from a weapon at all times, unless it is a Sniper Rifle which are required to have a Sniper Scope.

It is not possible to install an attachment or modification that is higher quality than the weapon itself onto the weapon.

Modifications that are installed on weapons cannot be replaced or removed, unless the weapon is part of the Iconic x-MOD2 series.

Crafting[]

Modifications can be crafted by merging two identical modifications of the same quality together to get one of a higher quality, or looted off of enemies with varying quality determined by V's level.
