Corp-Bud, formerly known as Pol-Bud,[1] is a corporation in Cyberpunk.
History[]
2013 - 2040s[]
Pol-Bud was founded as a family construction and renovation company in 2013 by a Polish immigrant couple — Franz and Tonya Yanovsky — who had moved to the United States city of Sacramento, in California. After the Fourth Corporate War, Pol-Bud's revenue grew steadily due to the corporation's competitive pricing, low-cost labor and an economic boost following the conflict.[1]
In 2030, Pol-Bud opened their own cement factory, cementing the corp's status as a leader in the construction industry. In 2048, then-CEO Yan Yanovsky decided to rename the company to Corp-Bud while making it independent of the global supply chain. Thanks to his investment in the corporation's own fleet of dredge ships, Yanovsky ensured Corp-Bud's continued access to sand, the most valuable raw material in the construction sector.[1] Around this time, the had twelve locations around Night City, including a cement factory and a railroad station.[3]
2050s - 2070s[]
Over the following years, Corp-Bud became a common sight in North America, becoming one of the largest construction companies and cement producers in the continent. This golden age ended with the disappearance of Mexico's Guadalupe Island under the sea. As people found out, Corp-Bud's ships had been sucking in hundreds of thousands of tons of sand for decades, gradually helping in changing the direction of ocean currents and creating untold disasters. After this, Corp-Bud faced huge image and financial problems, with the multibillion-dollar compensation they had to pay to refugees from flooded areas being one of the many difficulties the company struggled with. On top of that, the North American Environmental Protection Agency threatened to sink the corporation's fleet if they did not stop their predatory extraction of sand from the Pacific seabed.[1]
In 2077, the high demand of spaceflights at the NCX Spaceport in Night City made Orbital Air begun developing a project to renovate Terminal B in order to accommodate the high influx of passengers. OA contracted Corp-Bud for this task.[4]

CORP-BUD
In 2013, an enterprising central european immigrant couple, Franz and Tonya Yanovsky, founded the family construction and renovation company Pol-Bud in Sacramento. Thanks to its competitive pricing and low-cost labor, as well as an economic boost after the Fourth Corporate War, the company's revenue grew steadily. The opening of its own cement factory in 2030 sealed Pol-Bud's status as a leader in the construction industry. In 2048, the corporation's new CEO, Yan Yanovsky (Franz's oldest son), decided to rename the company Corp-Bud and make it independent of the global supply chain. By investing in his own fleet of dredge ships, he ensured Corp-Bud's continued access to the most valuable raw materials in the construction sector - sand. Since then, the Corp-Bud logo has become a common sight in the North American landscape. While the corporation was building highways, shipyards, bridges and skyscrapers at an express pace, the ships sucking in hundreds of thousands of tons of sand gradually helped change the direction of ocean currents. When Mexico's Guadalupe Island vanished underwater as a result, Corp-Bud's good fortune came to an end. Today the corporation is facing huge image and financial problems. The multibillion-dollar compensation it must pay to refugees from flooded areas is only a drop in the ocean of the developer's problems. Indeed, the North American Environmental Protection Agency has threatened to sink the corporation's fleet if Corp-Bud does not stop the predatory extraction of sand from the Pacific seabed.[1]
