Tier 4: Applying a Burn or Overheat effect against an affected enemy will cause the leaked toxic substance to detonate. The explosion removes Contagion's effect. Duration increased by 1 sec. Upload time reduced by 1 sec. Tier 5: +15% damage with this quickhack against each subsequent enemy it spreads to. Iconic: Increases maximum stacks from 2 to 3.

Contagion is a Combat Quickhack in Cyberpunk 2077.

Overview

A Tier 2 combat quickhack that infects the enemy with a virus that causes toxic cyberware substances to leak. This deals Poison damage every second for its duration and can spread to up to 2 enemies within 8 meters, that can stack up to 2 times.

The quickhack is ineffective against mechs, robots, drones, and turrets.

The Tier 3 variant increases the amount of enemies Contagion can spread to from 2 to 4. It also increases damage by 11 to 24 /sec and the duration by 1 second.

The Tier 4 variant will cause Burn effects or the Overheat quickhack to explode the enemy, dealing high damage but removing the damage over time effect. It also increases damage by 4 to 28 /sec and duration by 1 second and reduces upload time by 1 second.

The Tier 5 variant increases the damage of Contagion by 15% for each subsequent enemy it spreads to.

The Iconic variant increases the maximum stacks from 2 to 3.
